Combo Details
Description: This is an LP-CD Combo of Bird Watching, The Nutty Squirrels (Sascha Burland and Don Elliott).
TV composer/jingle master Sascha Burland (wrote the original theme for What's My Line?) and jazzman Don Elliott joined forces to create The Nutty Squirrels. They recorded their normal singing voices at 16 rpm, then played them back at 33-1/3 rpm which gave the unique Chipmunk-like sound to the hip, scat-singing style of Elliott. Backing Elliott and Burland's altered vocals were some of the best New York session men of the late 1950s, including Cannonball Adderley on sax, Bobby Jaspar on flute, and Sam Most on clarinet. If you love jazz and Alvin and the Chipmunks, you'll love this combo - its really great music!
This record has never been released on CD. Both are rare collectible stereo LPs. Features 12 fun jazz tracks intended for adults but adored by children too.
